Company to Unveil Next Generation of Interactive Marketing Software; Sir Richard Branson, Twitter COO, Grammy Award-Winning Band Train Set to Headline 3-Day Event

INDIANAPOLIS--ExactTarget announced today that a record number of marketers from around the globe will converge on Indianapolis Tuesday to participate in ExactTarget Connections ’10: Fuel the Conversation.

“We are excited to unveil the next generation of our software to help organizations better connect with their customers across all digital channels.”

The three-day event, held as a private user conference for ExactTarget clients, will feature the unveiling of ExactTarget’s next generation of interactive marketing software and will include keynote addresses by Virgin Group Founder and Chairman Sir Richard Branson, Twitter Chief Operating Officer Dick Costolo and Word of Mouth Marketing author Andy Sernovitz.

“Consumer conversations via email and social media are shaping brands today more than ever before, and Connections ’10 will provide the insight and inspiration marketers need to fuel those conversations and deliver real results,” said Scott Dorsey, chief executive officer of ExactTarget. “We are excited to unveil the next generation of our software to help organizations better connect with their customers across all digital channels.”

In addition to the debut of ExactTarget’s new technology, the event will include more than 35 breakout sessions providing best practices in interactive marketing on the real-time Web with email, social media, mobile marketing and sites. A private concert from Grammy-award winning band Train co-sponsored by Merkle and private evening events at the Indiana State Museum are also scheduled.

Connections ’10 also includes community outreach and volunteer opportunities. More than 120 ExactTarget employees and clients are teaming up today with Habitat for Humanity of Greater Indianapolis to build and landscape homes for two Indianapolis families. ExactTarget donated $10,000 to Habitat as part of the project and plans to provide additional support to community organizations throughout the week.

Connections ’10 follows ExactTarget’s Connections ’09, an event that welcomed more than 1,300 marketers and featured a lineup of industry titans including New York Times bestselling author Malcolm Gladwell and academy-award winning actress Marlee Matlin.
