Analyst Firm Places Teradata in Leaders Quadrant for CRM Multichannel Campaign Management

Marketers Shifting Investments into Multi-Channel, Measurable, Interaction-Driven Campaigns

MIAMISBURG, Ohio--Teradata Corporation (NYSE: TDC), the world’s largest company solely focused on data warehousing and enterprise analytics, announced today that it has been positioned in the Leaders Quadrant in Gartner’s new report, “Magic Quadrant for CRM Multichannel Campaign Management (MCCM)”1 by Adam Sarner. Gartner recently placed Teradata in the Leaders Quadrant in the “Magic Quadrant for Data Warehouse Database Management Systems” authored by Donald Feinberg and Mark A. Beyer. Teradata recommends these two reports be read together.

“Leaders consistently do considerably better in overall campaign management performance for basic and advanced campaign management, as well as for integration with e-marketing. Leaders have high market visibility, high market penetration, strong market momentum and a strategic vision for growing the campaign management business,” Sarner wrote. He also wrote that “the MCCM market continues to show overall positive growth as marketers continue to shift investments from mass-marketed, one-channel, one-way, company-driven campaigns to multi-channel, measurable, interaction-driven campaigns.”

“Companies that choose Teradata Relationship Manager for multi-channel campaign management and customer analytics benefit from the world’s best database for analytics,” said Sam Gragg, vice president, customer management marketing, Teradata. “The unique ability of Teradata to deliver a fully integrated marketing platform, with speed and scalability that companies cannot get from any other platform or application suite provider, provides rapid value to our customers as well as a safety net. Marketing challenges increase with the need to manage more channels, more data, and more complexity -- all with more immediacy. At the same time, marketers need to do more with less – and with greater demand for accountability. This is Teradata’s sweet spot. Our package combines flexibility and scalability to enable highly personalized and relevant interactions with customers.”

Teradata’s position as a stable and growing company with a long history of reliable delivery minimizes risk to customers in a tough, competitive economic environment.

Teradata Relationship Manager has significant market momentum at a time when demand for interactive marketing solutions across channels is growing. Companies are integrating online and offline data to gain better customer insight and improve overall marketing effectiveness for both inbound and outbound interactions, capitalizing on the emerging trend toward better customer data integration.

Gragg sees market excitement building around Teradata Integrated Web Intelligence, a new package linked to Teradata Relationship Manager that deepens visibility into customer interaction behavior with detailed web data. “I believe that our new order with JD Williams, following an exciting and successful pilot, is just the beginning of a new series of wins for the Teradata Relationship Manager portfolio,” Gragg said.
