InsightExpress Announces Two New Appointments to Its Digital Media Measurement Analytics Team

STAMFORD, Conn.--InsightExpress, a leading digital marketing research firm, announced today the expansion of its Digital Media Measurement Analytics team with the appointments of Shannon Gessner as Market Research Manager and Katie Frey as Market Research Analyst. Both appointments are effective immediately.

Shannon Gessner: Market Research Manager, Digital Media Measurement Group

In her role as Market Research Manager, Gessner will provide clients with high quality, timely analysis and interpretation of survey data obtained through InsightExpress’ portfolio of research product offerings. In addition to managing complex projects and offering actionable recommendations, she will also oversee the research design process and provide mentoring to other team members.

Prior to joining InsightExpress, Gessner held the position of Solutions Producer at Agencyme, a start-up company specializing in the development of online communities for viral marketing campaigns. There she created online communities to meet client research and branding objectives, analyzed quantitative and qualitative research to inform content development within communities, and was responsible for extensive qualitative and quantitative data analysis and reporting.

Before her time at Agencyme, Gessner was an Assistant Media Planner at Avenue A │Razor Fish, where she was responsible for media planning, buying and strategy execution on a variety of brands for a high profile pharmaceutical client. She has also worked as an Account Manager for CRM Metrix, where she managed the entire research project lifecycle and analyzed results of online surveys and product ideation sessions.

Gessner holds a BA from Mount Holyoke College and a Master of Science in Sociology from Saint Cross College, Oxford University. She currently resides in New York, NY.

Katie Frey: Market Research Analyst, Digital Media Measurement Group

Frey comes to InsightExpress from Shugoll Research where, as a Research Associate, she coordinated all phases of both the quantitative and qualitative research processes. She also conducted in-depth interviews, assisted in instrument design, performed data analysis, managed client requirements and supervised vendor relationships. Frey has also held a variety of research and communications internships at companies including Penn, Schoen & Berland Associates, Allied Advertising, Syracuse Research Corporation and Burson-Marsteller Public Relations.

As a Market Research Analyst for the Digital Media Measurement team, Frey will work closely with the Market Research Managers and Director to deliver insightful and actionable research findings to clients. She will ensure that all analytical objectives are addressed and that the appropriate research tools are identified and efficiently utilized.

Frey graduated summa cum laude from Syracuse University with a BA in Public Relations from the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications and a BS in Anthropology from the Maxwell School of Citizenship. She currently resides in Hoboken, NJ.
