Princeton Softech Forges Technology Relationship with Microsoft
Integration with Microsoft platform enables high-value Enterprise Data Management Solutions
PRINCETON, N.J.--Princeton Softech, the market leader in enterprise data management, today announced that it is forging a relationship with Microsoft Corporation. The goal of the relationship is to integrate Princeton Softech’s Optim™ solutions with Microsoft Dynamics™ and broadly incorporate innovations to the Microsoft platform to deliver high value to enterprise data management customers.
To support enterprise business initiatives, every organization must have capabilities for managing data growth, performing upgrades and migrations, managing test data, retiring or consolidating obsolete applications and platforms, and addressing issues related to data retention, privacy compliance and e-discovery. Integrating the capabilities of Princeton Softech Optim with the Microsoft platform will help enable companies to address and resolve these issues across the enterprise.
“Customers today recognize the importance of application data management in achieving their business objectives and compliancy responsibilities. We are excited about Princeton Softech’s integration with Microsoft Dynamics and their adoption of the Microsoft platform to deliver increased value for customers,” said Norm Thomas, Director Professional Services at Microsoft.
Key objectives of this relationship include integrating Princeton Softech Optim with Microsoft Dynamics CRM and ERP solutions and incorporating the innovations of Microsoft SQL Server™ Reporting Services, Microsoft Office SharePoint® Server and Microsoft Business Intelligence Solutions. Through this joint effort, Microsoft customers, including many who are current Princeton Softech customers, will benefit from the broadened opportunity to implement a comprehensive set of proven capabilities for managing and maintaining enterprise data, while reducing costs and risk.
“Princeton Softech’s development team is working closely with Microsoft’s Technology Center and early adopter programs to ensure that Optim capabilities are making full use of the Microsoft platform to satisfy client requirements and expectations,” said Al Smith, EVP Engineering at Princeton Softech. “Our expanded relationship allows for mutual knowledge transfer and education between the two teams to help ensure tight coordination, integration and collaboration. This will elevate our existing support for the SQL Server and Microsoft platforms.”
Microsoft Dynamics is a line of financial, customer relationship and supply chain management solutions that help businesses work more effectively. Delivered through a network of channel partners providing specialized services, these integrated, adaptable business management solutions work like and with familiar Microsoft software to streamline processes across an entire business.
Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007 is an integrated suite of server capabilities that can help improve organizational effectiveness by providing comprehensive content management and enterprise search, accelerating shared business processes, and facilitating information-sharing across boundaries for better business insight. Office SharePoint Server 2007 supports all intranet, extranet, and Web applications across an enterprise within one integrated platform, instead of relying on separate fragmented systems. Additionally, this collaboration and content management server provides IT professionals and developers with the platform and tools they need for server administration, application extensibility and interoperability.
Aligning Princeton Softech Optim with Microsoft Dynamics and the Microsoft platform has wide reaching benefits for enterprise customers. This combination brings proven enterprise data management and archiving capabilities, and aligns application service levels to business processes for improved performance and availability. Managing data growth facilitates application and database upgrades and reduces resource requirements for key IT operations. Simplified database administration supports business continuity and disaster recovery initiatives. Automated data retention supports compliance initiatives. Companies can leverage existing investments in applications, databases and storage.
