HERNDON, Va.--Deltek, the leading provider of enterprise management software for project-focused organizations, today announced that nearly 70 percent of this year’s recipients of The Greater Washington Government Contractor (GovCon) Awards are Deltek clients. Presented by the Northern Virginia GovCon Council, Professional Services Council and Washington Technology, the GovCon Awards are the DC metro’s premier event honoring the innovation and success of the area’s leading government contractors and industry executives.

The GovCon Awards comprised two main categories: Contractor of the Year and Executive of the Year. For Contractor of the Year, three out of the four winners are Deltek clients, including JBS International, Inc., Argon ST and Development Alternatives, Inc. Linda K. Berdine of G&B Solutions, Inc., a Deltek client, was also recognized as Executive of the Year for companies with less than $75 million in annual revenue. In addition, out of the 32 award finalists announced for both categories, all but three are current Deltek clients or are employed by a company utilizing Deltek’s software.

Half of this year’s finalists utilize Deltek Costpoint^®, Deltek’s industry-leading enterprise resource planning solution designed specifically for sophisticated, project-driven organizations, to track, manage and report on the critical aspects of their projects. The majority of the other finalists use Deltek GCS Premier^®, an industry leading accounting and project management software solution designed specifically for government contractors, to help them more effectively manage their projects and financials, comply with DCAA requirements, and dramatically reduce operating costs.

Classified by gross annual revenue using the most recent fiscal year-end revenues, four awards were presented for Contractor of the Year, while two awards were presented in the Executive of the Year category.

Winners were announced the evening of October 11 at an awards gala at the Ritz-Carlton in Tysons Corner.
