Leading Publisher on the AppExchange Adds Two New Applications, Expanding Their Suite to Five Native AppExchange Applications
salesforce.com Dreamforce Conference
SAN FRANCISCO--DreamFactory and salesforce.com (NYSE:CRM), the market and technology leader in on-demand business services, today announced the availability of Carousel and FormFactory for salesforce.com's AppExchange. Carousel allows salesforce.com users to create dynamic reports and dashboards connected to live Salesforce data, effortlessly package these as collections, and add flow with an integrated presentation manager. FormFactory gives users the ability to produce live, WYSIWYG business forms connected to Salesforce information. Built native to the AppExchange on-demand platform, Carousel and FormFactory are immediately available for test drive and deployment at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange. The announcement was made today at Dreamforce ‘06, salesforce.com’s User and Developer Conference.
These applications share a common objective of empowering the business user to automate repetitive business tasks. Carousel for example is ideal for creating report stacks that require regular collaboration and presentation such as sales forecast presentations, weekly staff report meetings, support reviews, etc. Similarly, FormFactory eliminates the pain and redundancy associated with manually creating business forms for common tasks such as quotes, statements of work, contracts, time sheets, and the myriad of other forms required to run your business.
Through a unique personal mashup manager, users design slides in Carousel and select Salesforce data to be incorporated in a slide. As data is updated in Salesforce, so are the slides in Carousel, making presentations, reports and dashboards “always on.” Furthermore, live slides can be exchanged between decks for reuse, team sharing and roll-up. FormFactory, in turn, allows users to create and exchange customized, dynamic business documents.
“Our broad agenda is to empower the business user with capabilities that have formerly been out of reach, such as reporting, dashboarding and live integral presentations,” said Eric Rubin, President of DreamFactory. “As with our three other applications on AppExchange, Carousel and FormFactory are a new breed of continuously and rapidly improving applications driven by our customer’s input.”
“We’re excited for DreamFactory’s latest additions to AppExchange,” said Matt Holleran, vice president, AppExchange partners, salesforce.com. “On-demand multi-tenant applications like Carousel and FormFactory will continue to drive AppExchange and the adoption of The Business Web.”
Carousel and FormFactory for AppExchange are two of the more than 375 applications now available on the salesforce.com AppExchange, the world’s first on-demand directory and sharing service, found at http://www.salesforce.com/appexchange.
