CorasWorks Takes Enterprise 2.0 Workplace on SharePoint 2007 to Next Level

CorasWorks Announces Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adapters at eGov Knowledge Management 2007

eGov Knowledge Management 2007

RESTON, Va.--CorasWorks Corporation, the leading worldwide provider of modular workplace application software on the Microsoft SharePoint collaboration platform, today announced the release of its new line of Workplace Adapters for Enterprise 2.0 applications on Microsoft SharePoint 2007.

Over the past 3 years, CorasWorks Workplace software has been adopted by more than 1,000 organizations to build modular Enterprise 2.0 workplaces on the Microsoft SharePoint collaboration platform. Its flagship product, the CorasWorks Workplace Suite, is used by more than 5,000 application builders to build and integrate web-based, collaborative applications, without custom development.

To date, these applications worked with information stored within the Microsoft SharePoint collaboration platform. With the release of Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adaptors, CorasWorks is extending its workplace to incorporate information from external data sources, applications, and web services. Following its long-standing modular approach to applications, these adapters are easily configured without programming or advanced web skills, allowing end users to become Enterprise 2.0 application builders.

Speaking at the eGov Knowledge Management 2007 conference, William Rogers, CEO of CorasWorks said Our new line of Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adaptors takes the CorasWorks Workplace to the next level by integrating information across the enterprise and fulfilling the vision of Enterprise 2.0. Our Workplace on SharePoint has excelled at providing end users with an application environment that they can use to build their own solutions, without any custom code. With CorasWorks Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adaptors, organizations are now able to incorporate external data into a true enterprise roll-up that is easily customized to their specific needs.

CorasWorks Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adaptors extend its Roll-Up data connection capabilities to connect to external data sources, aggregate and map multiple data sources, and provide displays within applications in the CorasWorks Workplace. CorasWorks is releasing Enterprise 2.0 Workplace Adaptors that address specific applications and data sources:

  • The Remote Roll-Up Adaptor connects distributed SharePoint Server Farms, allowing distributed organization or different organizations to build federated collaborative workplaces.
  • The Microsoft Project Server 2007 Adapter, to be released later this month, integrates information from Microsoft Project Server 2007 to applications within the CorasWorks workplace.
  • CorasWorks also announced a Workplace Adaptor to integrate data from custom SQL Server databases to be available during Q2.
  • Upcoming Adaptors during 2007 will support leading content management systems, ERP applications and CRM applications.
