| Logicalis consolidates UK businesses and looks to further strengthen its European operations |

Tom Kelly appointed as UK MD, Steve Ellis as Senior VP International Development
Slough, 18th September, 2006: Logicalis, an international provider of high-performance IT integration solutions, has announced a restructuring of its UK business. It has merged the company’s existing UK networking (LNS) and computing divisions (LCS) into a single entity as the market continues to converge. As part of the restructuring, Tom Kelly, previously the managing director of LNS, has been appointed managing director for the combined UK operation. He will have responsibility for the strategy, sales, marketing, business development and systems engineering and will report to Ian Cook, CEO of Logicalis’ European operations. “Computing and networking organisations are vying for control of the data centre,” says Cook, CEO, Logicalis European operations. “Logicalis with its unique delivery expertise in enterprise infrastructures (front and back office) and managed service capability is perfectly positioned to help organisations manage the complexity of an integrated information strategy.”
According to Kelly, by bringing together the company’s complete capabilities under a single management, UK customers will benefit particularly from Logicalis’ end-to-end knowledge of the market and focus on today’s strategic business drivers. “In particular, we’ll be concentrating our efforts on advising them on how to migrate towards state-of-the-art business practices that will improve their agility, continuity and ability to demonstrate the highest standards of corporate and social responsibility.” Logicalis now looks to increase its international momentum by building on its recent acquisition of re:solution in Germany and creating a viable strategy for growth in mainland Europe. To drive this momentum, Steve Ellis, former managing director of LCS, takes up the role of Senior VP - International Development, with initial responsibility for building the business in mainland Europe to equal that of the size of the current UK operation. He will also report to Ian Cook. “We are pleased with the integration of the computer reseller businesses - Notability, Hawke Systems and TBC - last year,” adds Ellis. “We’re now ready to take this to the next stage by developing the means to extend our proven model across Europe.” “We’ll be exploiting a sophisticated delivery capability to provide not just the unified communications for the front office and workforce but the computing, storage and Service Orientated Architecture (SOA) to deliver the back office,” underlines Ellis.
